I decided that I'll post only 1 or 2pics of every performer I saw.
This is the one of Asher Roth.
The guy in the left in this picture is Tom Boyd. In the middle is Brain Bangley. Last but not least, Asher Roth on the right side.

Once again, oh my god.

Roadtrip part6.

We left Modesto in the morning and started to drive towards San Francisco.
On the way there we spotted something. Something big and blue.
With yellow letters.
IKEA.
Yippee!
There we got some REAL FOOD! No more $1 side-salads or burgers.

And of course I needed some snacks too:

I <3 IKEA.

It was easy to find San Francisco. But it wasnt easy to go around San Francisco! It was nearly impossible! At least with a car! I felt so bad for Marke because she had to drive, but couldnt regret not getting a drivers license. Not at that moment.
After a while we found our hotel. It was an old hotel/building. The room was tiny..but there was something very charming about the hotel. This view from our room must be one(or maybe the only one) of the charming things:

One of the main attractions in San Francisco was on a walking distance: UNION SQUARE:

Before going to the next VISFP(Very Important San Francisco Place) we stopped by at one of the best places ever: JAMBA JUICE! I got my usual: Aloha Pineapple<3

Sipping my Aloha Pineapple we slowly(we werent in a hurry! finally!) walked to Chinatown. It was seriously like a little China! Only turists and a lot of chinese people and chinese shops!

There was also a tiny little Italy! I was to mesmerized to take a lot of pics of it, but I got one:

I can't remember what was the name of the shop, but they had all kinds of sweets there.. and toys. And whats the most important: they had SKUNK-PLUSH TOYS! So I bought two of them for "my kids". And then I got a small bag of popcorn for free! Not just any popcorn but somekind of caramel popcorn. Ah. Delicious!

We stopped to eat them and let the Tig(g)er stroll around the park like the people there did.. No one looked Tiger in any weird way.

Everyone minded their own business there.. People there had some really unique looks.. But I didn't dare to take any close pics of them. But I'll do that next time I go to San Fra. By then I'll probably have a better camera too.. And I'll take million close-ups of all those unique persons! That's gonna be a blast!

It was already getting dark, so now we had to hurry so we would see the seals or whatever those creatures are that bark and howl.
Here's some pics on the way there and there:

We didn't go into Alcatraz, but we SOO saw it from Pier39! HAH. I thought it was faaaaar away from the coast and that it would be HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE. But nope, it was close and it was relatively small.
Here's a dude I met at the Pier39. I almost thought about flying away with him. Having my happy ending.

A real jailbird!

San Francisco was truly beautiful. One of my favourites of all time!
And this wasn't the end off San Fra! We would be waking up in San Francisco! And spend more time in there!
But before the day ended, I had to get something to eat.AND DRINK! So we went to Walgreens and I got some puddings, milk and orange juice.
Luckily we had a mini refridgerator in our room so my food stayed edible.

We had a refridgerator, but no AC! Can you believe it! Sure, it was SAN FRA and it was supposed to be very cold or even cool, but it was warm! So the night was very hard..it was so hot. I think I slept maybe 4hrs.. And in the morning we realized that our check-our would be at 10!! And the clock was about 9 by then!! So we had to take a quick shower(in a tiny shower closet) and put on some clothes and take the bags and get out!

Because we didnt have too much time(we had to get our car out of the parking place by 3pm) we decided to take a bus to the Fisherman's Wharf. Luckily a nice senior citizen helped us out! Yes we got into the bus(which cost $2) and rode it about 3 or 4 blocks and then it stopped! They had changed the route a little.. So we had to walk.. well, at least we saw more San Fra.. and a lot of people running, riding their bicycles and skate-boards. No wait! No skate-boards! Skate-boards were prohibited there! WEIRD! In So-Cal everyone's got a skate-board..or at least most have one.

At the Fisherman's Wharf we saw some Hell's Angels too! And a hippie man singing! I gave him 2 bucks.

We rode the Tram too!! Or whatever that vehicle is called. Hah. It cost $5. To do things in the right way, even once during our roadtrip, we decided to stand on the edge and hold on the pole. It was fun.

(I'm so lazy now that I'm just gonna post pics of the Golden Gate Bridge. After all, what there's to tell about it. It looked like it looks like in the pictures! It was there. Just stood. Red. Longish. Could have been longer. Could have been more red. Some people say it orange though! I think it's red!

After seeing the Bridge, we left SF and headed to MONTEREY.
About that in the next post..

You will never leave Chula Vista feeling normal!

some people have told me that it's not that safe to go to Chula Vista.
Fuck them!
Of course I go there.
And tonight I had a very good fucking reason to go there:
BLINK 182!!
and Taking Back Sunday and ASHER ROTH!!
Oh and Weezer.
(At the moment Im holding myself together.. I must.. wait..)
Asher Roth was the first one. His show was about 20mins. TOO DAMN SHORT!
But I enjoyed every second! And took pics and videos.
OH, and did I mention I started to cry? I didn't?
Good, cause i dont wanna seem like a cry-baby.
Which im not. Obviously!
(It was just that he was there! The Asher Roth! He'll be a big star if he will be able to keep his shit together long enough! but yeah.. I'm a big fan!)
Taking Back Sunday. OH WOW.
They played about half an hour maybe. I just smiled (and took pics and videos) in awe!
Oh and did i mention that before they started, a girl behind me asked: "Are you here alone?!" And I had to admit that I was.. Then happened something totally unexpected!! SHE OFFERED ME A BETTER TICKET! "If you want, you can have it! The seat it over there.. a lot closer!" Hell yeah I took the ticket and thanked Sarah. That was her name. Thanks Sara again! I found my new seat just before TBS was starting.
I felt so good.
And texted my hostmom if anyone back home wants to come too.. Since at that moment I had 2 tickets!! I made Maja's dream come true and she saw the show too!(Or well, Weezer and Blink-182, not the first 2) We had to wiggle a little though.. Since we wanted to get both of us to the good seat(notice singular : seat! not seats!) But we made it.
Weezer played maybe 45mins.. I dont know. I dont know was it just that I ran out of patience or i didnt like weezer enough, but i just wished Blink182 would come to the stage already! but anyway, weezer was good. But TBS was better. And ASHER ROTH was god-like.. even tho they didnt sing that BOOM BOOM POW-'cover'. Luv it.
When finally BLINK182 started. Oh my fucking god. i felt like i was injected 5gallons of 100% happiness and maybe something else too :P Im not even trying to describe it to you.. to anyone. Not with words. Im just gonna keep on smiling (who cares if people think im a lunatic! and thats what ppl in F-land will think when I never stop smiling! Even when I complain about my fucking miserable life!)
One of my friends,Ina..well.. adores.. worships..has a thing for Travis Barker. Hell yeah I knew he was amazing but he was 100 times more amazing. He was fucking human-orgasm! Just look at him doing his thing and you may get pregnant! Tom and Mark..oh, my god.. some really fun dudes. And so talented that its sick! The whole band is fucking sick!!
Things got even more sick when Travis had his solo: playing the drums. Not just that. But the platform he was in... was slowly lifted up! And not just that: IT STARTED FUCKING ROTATING! SO IT WAS IN THE AIR AND AT THE SAME TIME ROTATING! AND TRAVIS WAS PLAYING LIKE A PSYCHO!(in a good way!!)
I have no words to describe this.
Im just so.. numb.
happy.
amazed.
everything.
it feels so good.
who needs drugs in this world when there's good music like this!!?
im so damn high right now.

ill post a few pics asap.
videos u can browse all by yourselves..
May youtube be your friend.

roadtrip part.5 Bishop/Mammoth Lakes - Modesto

It was 27th of August when I woke up, once again, on the backseat of our silver Volvo.
It wasn't as freezing cold as it was in Grand Canyon. Maybe because it wasn't 5am.

There was no showers at the campground, but I did my very best to make myself look and feel more decent. After all, we were going to Yosemite today! And in addition to bears and god-knows-what-monsters, there would be people. Our fellow-turists, to be more exact. And turists always have their cameras ready. And looking more like a human, not some wild unknown monster, it would be more unlikely to end up in someone's trip-album.. Right there above the: "We don't know what this is but we informed the ranger. If it turns out to be a new species, it will be named after us: 'Gustafsson's monster'"

(I think I look almost human there, well-fed one!)

While we were packing up our car (and I was munching some breakfast) someone came to say hi:

I'm not sure was it just that I was unlucky or was the chipmunk a clever chipmunk, but I didn't get a chance to bring him with me. Whatta shame!

I found something else though.. SOMETHING I COULD HAVE BROUGHT WITH ME! But I decided that even once in a life-time I do what I'm told to do:

..So I left this trap there.

Yosemite wasn't too hard to find. Luckily!

Soon after these views, we found ourselves in a LOOOONG line. Everyone wanted to go to Yosemite. (Elevation was about 10.000feet at that moment)
Once it was our turn to pay the entrance fee and get the map and warnings about bears and other wildlife..
At the booth, the woman there informed us about something else too! Something we weren't prepared for.. at all! Wildfires! There was a huge wildfire going on so we were told to take a detour to the Yosemite Village(where the most important things are.. and our campground!). The detour was several hours. And we didn't even have too much gas. And gas costs money. And I had very limited budget. And driving takes a lot of time. And time..well, I didn't have so much time either.. And just to add up something to whine about, Volvo's 'check engine'-light went on! GGGGRRRRRREAT! Just awesome.

Once again we stopped the car. No one stopped this time. Not even any german couple. There we were..two blonds, a Volvo and Volvo's manual, which told us to take the car to the nearest Volvo autorepair-store! HAH. Like there was a Volvo-repair in Yosemite! HAH. So we had to find the nearest.. So we started to drive out from the Yosemite National Park. On the way we saw the actual wildfire and I got some ash on my shirt too..

We went to some tiny town nearby to find a car repairer. In the town's pizzeria(we went there to ask for advice, not to eat) they had a crazy sign that said basically said that they can refuse to serve people if they choose so. And that they have a right to do so!(The woman there was scary that I didn't take a picture of the sign.. And I didnt wanna upset her, because we needed her help!)
She told us to go to place A. The place A just asked what kind of car we have, and when we told them that it's a VOLVO,they said they can't help us. I think that in this point we decided to put the Pentti(navigator..GPS..whatever) on and ask him! He found a couple of them. But the one where we went to, was clearly someone's private farm. Or just inhabited by sheep and cows and horses. I didn't see any humans so I'm not 100% sure. So that was place B. Went to the place C next and there we encountered some real mechanics: a potbellied/beerbellied man plus 2 others. The BB-man was clearly the boss of the place and he said he can charge us $50 for just taking a look at the car. Maybe fix it if it's some really basic thing, but if it's something a little bigger, he can do nothing. And probably he won't be able to do anything, because it's an European car. But at least he could tell us that since the light wasnt blinking, we should be good. But once it starts blinking, we would be screwed! And that the nearest Volvo-repair is in Modesto. We thanks the BeerBelly &Co. And left. Just thinking about probably getting a nice bill from that repair(if we'd ever get to Modesto!) or getting stuck somewhere in Yosemite's roads with a broken car(the towing costs millions) was brain-fucking. We were now about 40mins out from Yosemite and kinda lost with our plans. Not for long, and Volvo did something unexpected: the light turned off! So there we were again..in another brain-fucking situation:
a) to try to drive to Modesto and pay for someone to check the car(and the clock was about 3.30 and Modesto was about 1hr drive away, so the repair-shop would probably be closed already! And then we would need to find a place to sleep! Sleeping in the car was illegal and getting a fine.. ehm.. not a good idea.)
b) go back to Yosemite and take the damned detour and camp(= probably sleep in the car again). Then early in the morning leave without seeing anything in Yosemite( the detour would have taken so long that we would have gotten into our campground in the middle of the night!)

We decided to go to Modesto. But the closer we got, the more clear it was us: we r not going to take the car to the repair. The car sounded totally normal and no unusual lights were on.

So then we drove somewhere in the middle of fields and stuff. It felt pretty finnish.

We got some "cheer-up!"-food from Burger King: Hershey's sundae-pie and OREO-shake! And the day got again a little better when we spotted a man doing some crazy-ass dance-moves in his car! And not just body movements! The face and the mouth in it had some ridiculous moves too!! It was pretty hilarious. We laughed and felt a lot better. The day kept getting back to very satisfying when we found Motel6! We check ourselves in. No more sleeping in a car! We got our own big beds! And ordered some food from PizzaHut. And I think I watched True Blood<3 Season2. Now I've seen 2 episodes from the second season! Cant wait to see the rest!
