Fascinating Illusion

This is the hoods where we left from: Santa Monica.

Then we went to downtown L.A.. To Nokia Theatre again!
We stood behind one fence and there was this one girl(a volunteer employee) standing next to the fence..very pissed. She didnt like her job at all. Nor the clothes she had to wear! Ugly pants, a tie, a sweater and ugly black shoes. First I was very jealous of her, but then I realized that there wasnt much glamour in that job: standing in the heat in ugly clothes..in a spot where you wont see many stars.

We were already about to leave, but then I saw him.. and I froze.

Anita and Marke were somewhere in the distance already and I was almost unable to speak. I cant remember what happened then, but somehow Marke and Anita came back..
IT WAS JAY MANUEL! The Cutie-guy from America's Next TopModel!

He is sooo goodlooking! Just pure perfection! He is one of those guys that you watch in shock for a long moment, then try to yell something or somehow get his attention(and part of his awesomeness/looks)..then you realize that he is hundred times better looking that you or most people anyways. Then you just look at him. And take pictures. I took some too. But decided to save some power on my batteries for later..After all: we were at the Emmys! Star-studded event for realz!

But then we were told that we are not allowed to stand where we were standing! So we had to leave. Dammit!

But luckily I had some ideas of my own: FIDM! MOOD!

So there we went: to FIDM and Mood.
Oh, and I was happy! So happy!
Although Mood was closed. Because it was Sunday.

Btw, Mood is a designer fabric store. And it's the place where the contestants of Project Runway's newest season buy their fabrics!
And FIDM is Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. And that's also the place where the Project Runway's contestants sew and design. Plus there's Fashion District right next to it!

(Anita and Marke werent that excited about these places..But me, on the other hand,..ooh.. I was just over-excited.. Almost stopped the mexicans that laughed at me and told them that they shouldnt laugh, because it's FIDM! It's not just some building!! But I was too concentrated on my solo-photographing..)

After these Fashion-places, we headed to another kind of place: A WITCH HOUSE. Anyone ever watched the series The Charmed(=Siskoni on noita)?

There are more things we saw and did, but for some reason the Internet is sooooo slow that uploading the pics is terribly slow! I dont mean that it takes like 2mins.. IT TAKES LIKE 15MINS.. So no way I'm gonna sit here for 4 hrs and just upload those pics.. i'll just simply wait that the Internet becomes faster.. Or that I have nothing else to do but wait.

icecold and cool in other ways too.

My world got rocked when I realized that my last weekend in SD was coming! "What should I do? How do I wanna spend the last weekend in the US and A !?!" Luckily a couple of my friends had some plans and I was able to join them.. So I went to L.A!
Part of the plan was to go to see the (61ST Annual) Emmys! And some other stuff too.

One stuff being my very first icehockey match!
It was hard to believe that I'd go to my first icehockey match in CALIFORNIA! Considering the fact that I've lived the first 19years of my life in Finland!Anyways, there we went. It was awesome, of course. Even tho seeing how the finnish players in Anaheim Ducks(:Saku Koivu, Teemu Selänne & Petteri Nokelainen) didn't really pay attention to us 3.. Even though we had all kinds of signs and even a finnish flag. And they saw us. Thats for sure. They are so proud of themselves.. Wonder why.

It's not like they r superüberathletes and überrich and have all the looks. Despite that, I had fun.
And dont get me wrong.. I'm not disrespecting them! Oh not at all! I'm just disappointed!
I think they game was a good one. Some fights.. AND GOALS. But Anaheim lost the game 4-1.. Suckers. It was the Karma, boys! Next time pay some attention to the fans and maybe you will win. OR EVEN GET EVEN!

Some people seemed to be very engaged to this icehockey season opening time..(Not sure when the season really opens but it's about to open..I bet!)

It was soooo cold in the hall. Luckily I brought my San Francisco-hoodie with me. And luckily I didnt get sick. It's a real miracle actually..I was wearing sandals!

Before the match we saw the scene of the crime: the Nokia theatre were the Emmys were designated to be held the very next day! I felt a huge wave of happiness inside me when I touched the red carpet with my designer heels..wearing a designer gown and not so much fat.. This all in a half a second..in my mind. A girl can always dream you know.

After the match we went to Anita's apartment in Santa Monica (aaaw I love that place!) and had some margaritas..

...watched stupid videos from Youtube..ate tortilla chips and daim-bars from IKEA where we had gone earlier that day. Did I eat any $1 meatball-meals? Did I eat 20 meatballs and a lot of smashed potatoes plus gravy plus lingonberry? Maybe.

change

Change is such a horrible word.
I dont usually find myself in a situation where it's a good thing.
Very often some homeless people ask if I have any change. Some are 'clever' enough to make up some kind of story to hold on while harassing me. "I need just a couple of bucks to buy a train/bus/trolley-ticket!" - "I'm hungry and I need to buy food!" - "Why lie? I want beer!"
I even have a funny birthday card about change( and Barack Obama). And he was/is all about change. Changing the US and A to a better place and make everyone happy.

My change isn't like Obamas. It's not like homeless people's.
I have to admit though, that there are a couple of similarities, like "I wanna make the world better place" Well, who doesnt! Since the person who says this lives in this world too..and in this case it's me who's speaking. I could use some change too. Money-change. But I'd need a lot of change to get what I want. And what I want, is not some kind of bus/train/trolley-ticket. But my plan of making myself happy does include a ticket. Where exactly? I have no idea.

I'm not gonna tell anyone about these plans. They have to read them here. It's gonna be so much easier anyway. Since I know a lot of people who wanna know or just ask(and dont really care). I can just tell them to read my blog, and thats what they will do, if they really wanna know.

So I've found a school where I wanna get in. And to my own surprise, it's in F-land! It's not the easiest school to get in.. Or so I've heard. But I'm gonna try anyway. Next year. So during the next couple of months, I'm just gonna work. I also wanna do some of these things:

- see my friends and so-called friends
- see my family and relatives
- go to walk in one of our own forests
- cut down a tree
- dye my hair( nice dark/dirty blond roots <33333*sarcasm*)
- lose weight. (No buts and ifs)
- spend a lot of time with my loved one: Nappi aka Napa , the biggest reason why I allowed this change to happen
- redecorate my room with new pictures
- be a nicer person
- work and earn money
- go to a cruise to Sweden
- improve my Swedish skills
- improve my French skills
- improve my Italian skills
- improve my Russian skills
- read a book
- eat finnish candies!
- eat my mom's home-made (finnish) food!!!
- ride my bicycle like I've never rode it before!
- maybe start writing my blog in Finnish..
- show the animals/people I like how much I really care
- go to see my friends' apartments
- go to see my friend's baby
- go to shop at a local supermarket and pack my own groceries in the bags I brough in with me
- cry and cry and cry
- get wasted
- help someone
- go to sit in a sauna(ugh..I dont like the place really)

and a lot of other things.
But as you can see, the most important things are missing:
-go to the movies
-wander around in a local mall
-speak English to local people(in F-land they will throw me out of the store if I try that: "What u think u are!? American? This is fucking Finland!")
-meet a lot of new people
-meet a lot of foreigners
-chat with random people on the street
-give a couple of bucks/cents/dimes to a homeless person
-see homeless people(just mentioning.. seeing them is not important at all!!)
-take the trolley to places
-shop!!
-do some quality shopping at some quality stores
-eat at McDonalds, BurgerKing,Subway..
-get drinks/smoothies from CoffeeBean and tealeaf , Jamba Juice & Starbucks
-order pizza/pasta online and get it delivered behind my door
-be in the US

This is gonna suck.
In a way.

Tomorrow I need to do some tiny tiny tiny shoppings. I'll show u if I find what I'm looking for. And I need to take CDs and books back to library. Print my tickets(=a paper where is the secret number that should be enough..Let's see did Cultural Care give me the tickets or not.) Go to downtown and have a farewell-dinner with my amazing hostparents. Or well.. friends. They are not like parents really. More like good sister and good brother. Oh or well..a good sister and her good boyfriend and visa versa. (After all, they r married and calling them a sister and a brother..ehm.. not working)

Btw, I was in L.A -area yesterday. But I guess I'm not gonna have time to post about that tomorrow.. It has to wait till.. wow.. till I'm F-land I guess.
But I can tell you that I saw some famous places..and faces!
Jay Manuel!!
To mention the best one<3
I was so stoked during and after I saw him.
And gosh, he is so pretty. Unreal.
